Regina Doherty
Regina Doherty is married with four children. Living in Meath for 13 years, she is originally from Dublin where she was educated at St. Mary’s Convent and later at The College of Marketing & Design, Mountjoy Square. Previously a Sales Director for the Horizon Technology Group, Regina now operates her own IT company from Ashbourne. Eighteen months ago Regina set up “Community Magazine”, a voluntary magazine published 4-6 times a year that gives a voice to community and sports groups to promote themselves and their activities to the wider community. Regina is a member of a number of community groups in Ratoath. She is the V ice-Chair of the Establishing Committee of Gaelscoil Rath To and is also serving on the Special Education Group of The National Parents Council – Primary (NPC).

Education
- Build a permanent school for St Pauls NS and fast-track the construction of permanent facilities for the proposed Gaelscoil.
Traffic
- Prioritise the completion of the Ratoath outer-ring road and ban HGVs from the centre of Ratoath village.
Social Cohesion
- Additional community Gardai visible in the community, especially on evenings and weekends.
- Encourage a spirit of inclusiveness in community activities, to restore a sense of belonging to young people and senior citizens.
Planning
- Implement community and council-led planning, instead of the current short-term approach, which only suits developers.
Enterprise and Employment
- Increased funding for the County Enterprise Boards and Enterprise Ireland to boost employment.
- Increased funding for FAS to retrain construction workers for new opportunities.
